The Descent Dungeon

This agreement applies to all attendees, participants, volunteers, and guests of The Descent Dungeons including The Descent, Hekate’s Descent, and Descent Before Dusk.

By attending or participating, you agree to the following.

I understand and agree that:

• Consent is active, ongoing, relational and contextual, and may be withdrawn at any time
• All play must be clearly negotiated and boundaries respected
• I am responsible for communicating my needs, limits, and readiness
• Facilitators and Dungeon Monitors may pause or stop activities for consent or safety reasons
• I will engage with others respectfully and without coercion, pressure, or entitlement. 
• Harassment, bigotry, or exclusionary behaviour of any kind is not tolerated. 

I acknowledge that The Descent Dungeons are facilitated spaces. I agree to:

• Follow guidance from Facilitators, Dungeon Monitors, and Support Stewards
• Respect decisions made in the moment to protect safety and consent

Authority exists to hold the space, not to control participants.

 I agree that:

• No photography, recording, or sharing of identifying information occurs without explicit consent
• I will not discuss private or confidential, scenes, incidents, or investigations of other people

Breaches of confidentiality may result in removal from events or future suspensions or bans.

If concerns are raised about my behaviour, I agree to:

• Engage respectfully and privately
• Understand that reports are reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Accept that outcomes may include education, restrictions, suspension, or removal

I acknowledge that participation may involve physical, emotional, psychological, or erotic activities, including interaction with equipment, restraints, power dynamics, or intense experiences.

I understand that:

• These activities carry inherent risks, even when consensual 
• Dungeon spaces are shared environments and that I may encounter content or dynamics that are not aligned with my personal experiences, preferences, or capacity in the moment.
• I will potentially have exposure to scenes, sounds, or activities involving others that may be confronting, activating, or emotionally difficult to witness

I acknowledge that:

• I am responsible for monitoring and caring for my own mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing
• I will take breaks, seek support, or remove myself from spaces as needed
• Facilitators and Support Stewards are available for support but are not therapists or mental health providers

I confirm that:

• I am responsible for assessing my own physical, emotional, and mental readiness
• The Descent Dungeons do not explicitly provide medical or mental health services

We ask that, where comfortable, you disclose to facilitators any medical conditions that may result in emergency, so that we can best offer support.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless, The Descent Dungeon and all persons acting in their capacity for this space, from any claims, losses, injuries, or damages arising from my participation, except where prohibited by law.

By signing below, I confirm that:

• I have read and understood this agreement
• I am participating voluntarily
• I agree to abide by all event-specific rules and facilitator guidance
• Access to events and play is conditional on conduct
• This agreement is valid for 12 months from the date signed
